About Numerical Methods
Numerical Methods is a free numerical analysis reference: theory, complete derivations and solved exercises, written with the same care in Spanish, Basque and English.
What you'll find here
Each method is explained in full on its own page: the motivation, the theorems behind it, the formula and its complete step-by-step derivation, numerical examples solved to the end, and the error and convergence analysis.
Pages link to each other like a wiki: from a guide you can jump to the derivation of each formula, to the exercises that use it, to the glossary that fixes the vocabulary, and to the comparison tables that help you choose a method.
How the content is written
The material is written from textbook-level sources and every numerical result is verified by recomputation before it is published. When a source contains a typo, it is corrected and the right value is published.
All three languages are written at the same depth: none is a machine translation of another.
Spotted an error?
A reference is only as good as its reliability. If you find a typo, a step that isn't clear, or a number that doesn't check out, write to us and we'll review it.
